Its a rainy day in the middle of Spring. If I could pay someone to bring the sun here I would! Aspinal’s Gent Umbrellas are the only thing that makes me glad to see the rain. These gorgeous umbrellas have a malacca cane, the signature of truly classic quality gentleman’s cane umbrella, and are priced at just under $300 CDN. I can imagine Sean Connery walking down a cobble stone street in a three piece suit, swinging one of these…….I love old men with money that are slightly good looking.

Yves Saint Laurent died Sunday at his Paris home after a yearlong battle with brain cancer. He was 71 years old. A bit of the world’s glamour has died with him.

I want everything that relates to the summer and the outdoors jam packed into one ring. Dior’s Diorette Yellow Gold Ring read my mind. Assembled by hand, the 18k yellow gold ring features a diamond and amethysts. The Dior UK website features the complete Diorette line. The Diorette Yellow Gold Ring is priced at $5,550.00 - I’ll take one for each finger!

Richard is whiter than my porcelain veneers, so this item is perfect for him - Natura Bisse Sun Defense Sport Spray with SPF 30 is available at Neiman Marcus. The $120 US spray lotion is for all skin types and has anti-aging and moisturizing ingredients. If only he could even get a tan.

Summer is not complete without this Hèrmes Towel for me to fill my time tanning poolside. The Mr. Butterfly towel is made of 100% cotton terry cloth and printed with a Lyonnais screen technique just like Hèrmes signature scarves. Priced at only $573 CDN, it measures 36″ x 60″, which means it’s large enough for my pool boy and I to lie together. Nice Speedo, Ronaldo!

Monogram Groom is a new line of small leather goods from Louis Vuitton. Inspired by an LV advertisement from 1921, the collection of small leather goods is a tribute to the art of travel. The Monogram Groom is a limited edition of bestseller models. Personally, I think this was designed for the absent-minded celebrity - a change purse with a bellhop on it reminds them to tip. That is the key to being rich people, we don’t tip.

So a friend of mine, lets call her Dafney because that sounds fancy, told me about a glorious skin cream that no Luxemblogger should be without! Crème de la Mer, if you have not already heard of it, was developed over forty years ago by an aerospace physicist. He had suffered an accident when an experiment exploded into his face causing severe burns. (I hope he was not making this cream at the time, that would be ironic) Anyways, Dafney insist it’s the best thing since hired help. Crème de la Mer is available at Holt Renfrew and Neiman Marcus for $110 US per 1oz. jar. Thanks for the tip Dafney, see you at bridge, darling.

Sometimes I feel like my runners are just not flashy enough. Behold! Kickbars are jewel-encrusted shoelace clips made with emeralds, sapphires, rubies, or diamonds set in white gold. The designer, Robert B. Martin Jr., is a former child star (apparently he was in a Taco Bell commercial, so that makes him a star?). Back in the day little Bobby got “street cred” from wearing his mom’s rings on his sneaker laces. This gave him the idea of creating Kickbars so you too could have “street cred”. Kickbars are priced from $7,500. Personally, I like Taco’s better - Bobby should have stuck to those.

Japanese designer, Akihiko Izukura has designed a one-piece halter swimsuit and dress out of pure gold thread. The one-piece swimsuit weighs 500g and takes 32 days to hand weave. The dress has a price tag of $243,902 while the swimsuit is a steal at only $82,000. Where do I sign up?

Italian shoe designer, Silvano Lattanzi has composed a collection of footwear like no other. Poetry, lyrics and handwritten letters by famous personalities decorate each shoe. One pair is decorated with the handwriting of Jacqueline Kennedy. The handwriting is engraved by hand then burnished for an antique finish. Lattanzi custom-makes all his footwear for each client so you have the option of putting your very own favourite script on your shoes. Mine would say “If you can read this, I am kicking you in the face.” The custom fine-grained calfskin shoes are priced from $4,500.
